Child car seat verification

SeatTrace

A clearer way to check child car seat records before you buy, use, donate or resell.

SeatTrace is being built to help people interpret label details, recall context, expiration guidance and available crash or replacement records while keeping unknowns visible.

Example report: manual review

Checked facts stay separate from unknown records.

How it works

Designed for fast checks without hiding uncertainty.

01

Enter or scan the label

Capture model, manufacturer, manufacture date and visible identifiers from the seat label.

02

Confirm the details

Review extracted fields before any lookup so leading zeros and label wording stay intact.

03

Review the report

See recall, expiration, manufacturer policy and available replacement-record context in one place.

What SeatTrace checks

Practical signals for families and resale teams.

SeatTrace is focused on evidence-backed checks for child car seats. It does not replace a certified technician inspection or a manufacturer's instructions.

Recall context

Surface matching recall information from reviewed sources when enough label data is available.

Expiration details

Help interpret label dates and manufacturer policy without guessing when information is missing.

Replacement records

Keep crash or replacement history explicit, including when live record data is unavailable.

Resale readiness

Give sellers and buyers a shared report format that separates checked facts from open questions.

MVP status

Built separately from the Verify app.

This marketing site is prepared for Cloudflare Pages. The SeatTrace Verify application remains a separate Render-bound project and is not deployed from this repository.

Important limits

SeatTrace keeps the unknowns visible.

Does SeatTrace declare a seat safe?

No. It reports checked records and unresolved gaps. A missing record must not be treated as proof of safety.

Is the Verify app live?

Not from this website repository. The Verify app is on its own MVP path and will be deployed separately.

Who is it for?

Families, secondhand buyers, resale operators and donation teams that need a clearer intake process.
